In between your posting and this one, I also posted my opinon on a KG discussion which should be able to address your KG inquiry. To cut short my arguments, KG is irrelevant to the admission. If you badly want to enchance your daughter's chance, you may (i) convert to catholic (hope it doesn't compromise your integrity) and (ii) relocate to net 12. And for the character thing, my observation is that marymounters tend to be confident, outspoken and strong-minded. Marymount either cultivates or strengthens them(or both). The downside is that I am bombarded by my daughter's expressing endless opinions and demanding my explaining all my judgements ........... Though it's exactly what I have been hoping, every now and then I miss my tranquillity. Anyway, wish you good luck in your turn of POA.
